Coursework
Connecting Google Classroom
Connecting Google Classroom means your assignments, due dates, attachments and rubrics arrive on their own. It is a read-only, one-way sync: nothing is ever submitted or written back to your teacher.
Open Integrations
In the Account section at the bottom of the sidebar.
Connect Google Classroom
The card walks you through Google's consent screen. Use the Google account your school gave you, not a personal one — a personal account has no coursework in it and will sync nothing.
Come back and check
Once connected, Classwork fills with your courses and Assignments picks up the due dates. If Classwork is still empty, the account you authorised is the first thing to check.
If you see "Error 400: access_not_configured"
That is your school board's Google Workspace policy, not a fault in your account or in the app. Workspace for Education blocks unapproved third-party apps by default for users under 18, and only your board's Workspace administrator can clear it. There is a page written to be forwarded to them at /for-schools/google-classroom.
You can disconnect at any time
The same Integrations page manages the linked account and lets you remove it.
Common questions
Can my teacher see that I connected this?
No. The connection is on your account and reads your coursework. Nothing is posted, submitted or visible to your teacher.
My school blocked it. Is there any way around it?
Not from your side, and anyone claiming otherwise is wrong — the block is enforced by Google against your board's policy. The route that works is asking your board's IT administrator to approve the app. The /for-schools/google-classroom page exists to be forwarded to them.
Can I use a personal Google account instead?
You can connect one, but it will not contain your school's coursework, so there is nothing for it to sync. Everything else in the app works fine without any integration.
