Visual Explainer
Some things do not land the first time no matter how well they are explained, and what you need is not a better explanation but the same one four times. That is what this is for: it turns a topic into a short lesson you can rewatch, which a live session cannot give you.
Open Visual Explainer
In the Study section of the sidebar, between Review and Practice Quizzes. Past lessons are kept separately under its history, so nothing you generate here is one-use.
Name the topic
One topic per lesson. "Why the chain rule works" produces something watchable; "derivatives" produces something shallow, because the same length has to cover ten times the ground.
Watch it through once
The lesson is written out by hand on a chalkboard as it is narrated, so it is meant to be watched rather than skimmed.
Rewatch the part that didn't land
This is the whole advantage over a live explanation. The third viewing of one step costs nothing and is frequently where it clicks.
Find it again
Generated lessons are saved in the Visual Explainer history, so a lesson made in October is still there in January.
Common questions
How long is a lesson?
Short and deliberately capped at a handful of steps. A lesson that tried to cover a whole unit would be worse than the same time spent in a session, so the format is built for one idea.
Can I use it for a topic my class hasn't covered yet?
Yes, and it is a reasonable use — going into a lesson having already seen the idea once makes the lesson itself far easier to follow.
Is it the same as the session whiteboard?
No. The whiteboard is live and reacts to you in the moment. The Visual Explainer is produced up front and saved, so it can be rewatched but not interrupted.
