Study schedule planner
Give this planner your exams, their dates and the hours you can study each day, and it builds a day-by-day plan from today to your last exam, giving the nearest exam the largest share of each day and passing its hours on once it is over. The plan is shown as a table and can be downloaded as an .ics file that opens in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. It runs entirely in your browser.

How it works

Add each exam with a name and a date. Exams dated in the past are ignored; the plan runs from today to the latest date you enter.

Set the hours you can study on a typical day. The same number is used for every day of the plan.

Each day's hours are split among the exams still ahead, weighted by closeness: an exam three days away gets a larger share than one three weeks away. The day after an exam, its share goes to the exams that remain.

Hours are rounded to the nearest quarter hour and the table lists every day with its split. The Download .ics button builds a calendar file in your browser, one all-day event per study day plus one per exam, with nothing sent to a server.
Questions about this tool
How are the hours divided between exams?
By closeness. On any given day, each exam still ahead gets a share of the day proportional to one over the number of days until it, so the nearest exam gets the most and a distant one still gets something. When an exam passes, its share is redistributed to the exams that remain.
Can I set different hours for weekdays and weekends?
Not in this version; the same daily hours apply to every day. If your weekends are different, run the planner with your weekday figure, download the file, and adjust the weekend events in your calendar app.
Does the calendar file sync back if my exam date changes?
No. The .ics file is a one-time export built in your browser; nothing is stored here and there is no account behind it. If a date changes, delete the imported events, update the exam here and download a fresh file.
