Three exams, one week, no plan

The exam is in a week and you do not know where to start

Revision goes wrong in a predictable way: you spend the first four days on the chapter you already understand, because it is the comfortable one, and meet the chapter that actually decides your grade on the night before.

What this will not do

It cannot tell you what will be on the exam, and it will not pretend to. It works from what you tell it the exam covers and from your own course materials.

How it actually goes

  1. 1

Give it the date and the scope

What the exam covers and when it is. If you have a course outline or a past paper, upload that too.

  2. 2

Get a plan built backwards from the date

Not a list of topics — an order, with the heaviest material early enough that discovering you do not understand it is still recoverable.

  3. 3

    Practise, with worked solutions

Generated questions on each topic with the full working shown, not just an answer key. Answer keys tell you that you were wrong; working tells you where.

  4. 4

Take the ones you got wrong into a session

The questions you failed are the most valuable material you have. Bring them to a live session and find out whether it was a gap or a slip — they need completely different fixes.

Questions people in this situation ask

What if the exam is tomorrow?

Then skip the plan and go straight to a live session on the two topics you are least confident about. A plan for tomorrow is not a plan, it is a list.

Can it use past papers?

Yes — upload them. Past papers are the best signal available about what a course actually tests, as opposed to what its outline says it covers.
